As Hip Hop's resident "shock jock," Wendy Williams has been involved with gossip and scandal for the better part of two decades. While Williams is no stranger to controversy, an ongoing lawsuit with her former publicist may be providing a rather uncomfortable mix of personal and professional life.
Nicole Spence originally filed papers with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on March 24, claiming that Williams' husband, Kevin Hunter, demanded sexual favors from her on more than a dozen occasions since 2004. George Rush and Joanna Malloy of the New York Daily News report that more staff members from the top rated 107.5 WBLS radio show, The Wendy Williams Experience are coming forward "to corroborate the sexual harassment claims made by a young female talent booker for the shock jock."
"Others have come forward since we filed the complaint to support Nicole's claims," says Karen Webber, one of the lawyers representing Spence in a federal lawsuit. "They say he often called women bitches and used alcohol, and they describe his violent outbursts against Ms. Williams."
Williams has not publicly addressed the suit since Spence was removed from the on-air edition of the show, and Spence is still listed as Williams' acting publicist on her website.
